About me

My name is Lisa Wyss and I am a saxophonist and yoga teacher. As a musician I need a strong and healthy body to play my instrument, so I started Yoga to improve my posture and become free from muscle tension. Already after a few classes I realized that I did not only get more strong and flexible, but also that I started to become more aware of my body and my breath, that my mind became more quiet and that I found a place where I could connect with myself.

I tried out different yoga styles, but very soon I got hooked by the classes of Daphne Koken and Simon Rowe, who are Prana Vinyasa teachers, a style created by Shiva Rea. After a few years of following yoga classes, I spent a month in India to deepen my practice. After my 200 RYT Teacher Training with Johan Noorloos at De Nieuwe Yogaschool Amsterdam, I started following Prana Vinyasa Teacher Training modules with Shiva Rea, Coral Brown, Simon Park, Nianna Bray and Andrew McAuley. I am currently finalizing my 300 RYT Teacher Training at GLOW Yogastudio Haarlem.

Yoga helps me to find more balance in my life, to deal better with stress, to feel good in my body and to calm my mind.

In my classes I invite you to connect with your body and breath, to move in a fluid and graceful way, to let energy flow, to explore your possibilities but also to be gentle and compassionate with yourself and to find harmony and peace within.

About Happy & Healthy Musicians

 

All musicians are depending on a healthy body and mind to be able to play and perform at their best and I am dedicated to support musicians on their journey of health and wellbeing.

As a musician myself I understand the challenges of that lifestyle, and as an experienced yoga teacher I learned a lot of tools that helped me personally. I feel that yoga helped me to grow as a person as well as a musician. It has been my passion for the last years to combine my work as a saxophonist with my work as a yoga teacher and share my knowledge with fellow musicians who are striving to have a healthy lifestyle and to become more relaxed, balanced and connected.

I believe that feeling good needs a holistic approach to our lifestyle and that we need to look at everything that impacts our physical and mental health such as movement, mindset, nutrition, sleep, stress management and self care practices. Next to offering yoga classes I love sharing simple, everyday practices to help people become healthier & happier.
